As many of you know, the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy has been devastating to the tri-state area. The storm caused widespread and unprecedented damage to areas up and down the east coast. Food Bank of NY: Devoted to supplying hunger relief to New Yorkers in need, Food Bank has been working to stop hunger in the NY area for 29 years and counting. The organization’s emergency response efforts are working with New Yorker’s affected by Superstorm Sandy to provide them with food. American Red Cross of Greater NY: Focuses on providing disaster relief service to those affected by the storm. The Red Cross is helping victims of Sandy with food, clean water, and relief supply packages that include hygiene products, blankets, and other necessities. City Harvest: An organization that has been dedicated to providing food to those in need for 30+ years. City Harvest collects miillions of pounds of excess foods form NYC industries to help New Yorkers facing hunger. The organization has devoted multiple efforts in the wake of Hurricaine Sandy and is accepting donations here.
